Carmot Strategic has consulted to lead system integrators in the defense sector for nearly two decades. Drawing on his experience as presidential appointee to two Secretaries of Defense and service as Special Assistant to the President, Carmot principal Daniel McGroarty utilizes his expertise to analyze and evaluate how foreign policy and national defense issues intersect with client interests.

As principal of the non-profit American Resource Policy Network, an experts-led resource development think tank, McGroarty was asked to participate in the 2013 and 2015 National Defense Stockpile Requirements Reports, which by statute are delivered to the Secretary of Defense and the House and Senate Armed Services Committees. He consults to the Institute for Defense Analyses, which supports the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, the Joint Chiefs’ Joint Staff and the Intelligence Community.
