Resource Development
Carmot Strategic has consulted to both large-cap and mid-cap resource companies over the past decade. Engaging at the CEO/CFO level, Carmot’s advisory role has ranged across many issues relevant to Project Development, from political analysis and outreach, NGO strategy, and strategic messaging, to the design of a comprehensive suite of Sustainable Development Initiatives, outreach to think tanks aimed at cultivating independent expert validation for his clients’ projects, and oversight of lender-requested social impact audits and UN Global Compact compliance.
Carmot’s Resource Development practice leverages its principal’s deep involvement in resource policy issues. As a member of Colorado Rare Earths Corporation’s Board of Directors and senior advisor to the CEO, Daniel McGroarty is engaged in all aspects of the Company’s development strategy, from public policy positioning and sustainable development practices to investor relations and strategic planning.
In June 2010, with a former White House colleague, Daniel McGroarty launched the Strategic Materials Stockpile Initiative – StratMat – serving as Co-Director. Predicated on the growing demand for specialty metals and minerals, StratMat calls for a reformulation of the national defense stockpile concept to address 21st Century resource and national security needs.
